Our Dogs

Chandi
Chandi is the foundation of the kennel. Chandi also has a limitless capacity for love, and she shines that light on everyone, 2-legged and 4-legged alike. Her confidence makes it natural for her to look after all of us.

Stardust
Stardust and Katie are Chandi's puppies with Evo. They were born January 7, 2019. Stardust is the actress. Give this girl a stage! She has Daddy’s big hair, light, agile movement, and some other breed’s focus on getting attention. She is the leader and the thinker, and most of the time she thinks about being in the center of things.

Katie
Winning Her First Major
Her big little sister is Katie, AKA Katherine of Aragon. Katie follows Stardust, but she is also the protector. By this, I mean she barks. BARKS! She loves to bark. So I have to keep steak or chicken handy to lure her inside. She is very sweet though, and loves to be loved.

In Memoriam

Balu
Beloved Balu. Sweet Lhasa Apso and intrepid explorer. His fearlessness and love of life is greatly missed.

Bodhi
Bodhi taught me to be humble—He outsmarted me over and over. Bodhi knew how to barter, and he was always trying to swap something for a treat. Bodhi was also a great talker. He never said the same thing twice, and it was always very expressive. I lost him to heart disease, but we beat the odds for two wonderful years. I still call on him often, and am so filled with heartfelt thanks when he answers.

Sally
An Alaskan Husky, Sally was a working sled dog for the first five years of her life, and then when I brought her and some of her pals out of the wilds of Northern Minnesota, she decided she was stopping with me. That was not my plan, that was hers. She passed away two week shy of her 17th birthday, and her spirit still runs over the snowy trails, free and strong.
